Scope
VideoMaker AI generates video from text and images. That makes the person writing the prompt responsible for the result, and it makes us responsible for refusing clearly harmful requests.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Breaking it can lead to refused generations, removed content, forfeited credits or a closed account.
Prohibited content
Sexual or NSFW content. Nudity, sexual acts, sexually explicit poses or camera angles, fetish content, and any content designed to arouse. Sexual content involving minors is child sexual abuse material and is covered by the zero-tolerance rule below.
Violent or graphic content. Gore, dismemberment, torture, mutilation, animal cruelty, and instructions or glorification of serious harm.
Hate speech. Content that attacks, dehumanises or incites hatred against people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any sexual or sexualised depiction of a minor, including AI-generated or synthetic images and videos, and any attempt to create or request it.
Deepfakes and impersonation. Face swaps, nudifying a real person, putting real people into intimate scenes, making a real person appear to say or do something they did not, voice cloning without consent, and impersonating public figures, private individuals or brands.
Copyright and trademark infringement. Reproducing protected characters, logos, brands, films, music, games or artworks, or passing off a living artist's style as their own work, without authorisation.
Zero tolerance
The following result in immediate action, without a warning: child sexual abuse material; content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism; instructions for weapons of mass destruction; incitement to genocide; and non-consensual intimate imagery.
We preserve the relevant records, remove the content, close the account, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities where the law requires or permits it.
Other prohibited behaviour
Do not use the service to spread misinformation, defraud anyone, harass or stalk a person, or violate someone's privacy.
Do not attempt to bypass our filters or the model provider's safety systems, including through prompt injection, encoding tricks or repeated rephrasing after a refusal.
Do not resell access, scrape the service, overload it, or use it to build a competing dataset.
Images of real people
Upload only images you own or have permission to use. If an image shows an identifiable person, you must have that person's consent before you generate with it.
Do not use images of public figures to imply endorsement, or to place them in fabricated events, statements or intimate situations.
Having consent does not make a prohibited deepfake acceptable. The deepfake rules above apply regardless of consent.
How we moderate
Before generation, prompts are screened against a maintained rule library covering the categories in this policy. A blocked prompt is refused before any credits are reserved, and you will see an error explaining that the content is not allowed.
Uploaded files are validated for type and size. Images and generated videos that are reported to us are reviewed by a person.
The underlying model provider also applies its own safety filters and may reject a request; we pass that rejection back to you and release the reserved credits.
We keep records of refusals, reports and enforcement actions, including request IDs, so that decisions can be reviewed and appealed. The rule library is reviewed regularly and updated when we see new abuse patterns.
Reporting abuse
Email support@videomaker-ai.com with the subject "Abuse report". Include the job ID or page URL, what the content shows, why you believe it violates this policy, and whether you are the person depicted.
We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and aim to complete the review within 5 business days. Reports involving child safety or non-consensual intimate imagery are prioritised. We keep reporters' identities confidential unless disclosure is legally required.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may refuse a generation, remove content, reset or forfeit credits, suspend the account, terminate it, or report the matter to authorities.
Most first violations lead to a refusal or a warning. Serious violations, repeat violations, and any zero-tolerance content can lead to immediate suspension or termination.
Appeals
If you believe a refusal, removal or suspension was a mistake, reply to the decision email or write to support@videomaker-ai.com within 30 days. A person will review the case, and we will restore content or credits if we got it wrong.
Where the law requires a final decision on child safety content, that decision may not be appealable.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service and the applicable rules change. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
